MobileViews Podcast 474: Using Adobe Podcast Studio to record this podcast

Adobe Podcast Studio beta

This is a meta-topic podcast. In it Jon Westfall and I discuss using Adobe Podcast Studio beta to create this podcast (instead of the usual combination of Microsoft Teams and Rogue Amoeba Audio Hijack). For the past few months Todd has been using Adobe Podcast Enhance to “clean up” podcast audio. Studio appears to have the option to have Enhance perform this process during or shortly after completing a podcast recording session.

They also discuss the upcoming (Sept. 12) Apple Wonderlust product announcement event and the near future (Oct. 4) Google Pixel devices announcement event.

Available via Google Music Podcasts and Apple iTunes.

Mobile Food Views #1 (MobileViews 473): Poke in Hawaii; K61 wireless lav mic; mainframes memories

Todd Ogasawara (left) and Phil Mow (right)

Cali-crunch Poke

Miso Salmon

To kick off the Mobile Food Views podcast, Todd Ogasawara is joined by Philip Mow to talk about Poke (seasoned diced raw fish) in Hawaii. We ventured to Hanapa’a Market in East Honolulu where Todd had the Cali-Crunch and Phil had the special-of-the day – a miso salmon.

Sidenote: Shoutout to Absgeega. We tested the K61 wireless lavalier microphones for USB-A, USB-C, and Lightning devices. This is the first two-person podcast recording field test for it. The initial solo test recording is found in mini-podcast 38 on July 21. We recorded this podcast outdoors on a relatively breezy day.

Adobe recently reduced the amount of time the Adobe Podcast Enhance service will process from 60 to 30 minutes. Since this particular session as less than 30 minutes, I used it to post-process the audio.

In addition to our poke discussion, we also spent a few minutes reminiscing about working with mainframes in the “good ol’ days”.
