Jon hopped on board with Podcast 69 on Dec. 22, 2013, to discuss the transition from Windows Mobile\/Phone to other platforms and Microsoft Project Siena.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also mentioned frequent guest panelists Sven Johannsen and Jack Cook on Podcast 109 in Feb. 2015, discussing the state of Windows Phone two years before it was discontinued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our discussions included Apple&#8217;s upcoming 50th anniversary on April 1, my anticipating the delivery of the new &#8220;budget&#8221; MacBook Neo A18 Pro powered laptop, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/frankmcpherson.blog\/2026\/03\/04\/what-is-low-cost.html\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frank&#8217;s skeptic&#8217;s few on &#8220;what is low cost?&#8221;<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products-and-platforms\/devices\/pixel\/march-2026-pixel-drop\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google March 2026 Pixel Drop<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. A key part of our discussion was how<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/android-developers.googleblog.com\/2026\/03\/android-devices-extend-seamlessly-to.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Android devices extend seamlessly to connected displays<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This feature was previously enabled only in developer mode but is now a standard capability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Frank had some specific<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/frankmcpherson.blog\/2026\/02\/28\/my-thoughts-about-android-desktop.html\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">thoughts about Android desktop<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> mode on his blog. I noted that while my Pixel 10 Pro supports this, I was disappointed to find that neither the Pixel Tablet nor the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE does.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jon showed off his latest project: an<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/jonwestfall\/statsign\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elecrow e-Ink screen<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which will be a remotely programmable office door sign.
