Please help Help help. I’m in Canada and just got Omnia2 which had no voice dail I dwnld window voice command 1.6 and have copied unzipped and copied to my phone. I located the file and clicked setup and it started to install but got a white blank screen. Can you please tell me what is going on or what I’m doing wrong, thanks.

I have downloaded both SyncMate and Missing Sync and neither will fully install. I have:

Uninstalled one before installing the other;
Purchased the pay versions of both programs;
Done a hard reset on the phone and the mac;
Spent countless hours going through every blog, support site, etc. looking for, and performing each “fix” and solution.

My setup:

HTC Touch Pro 2 running WM 6.5
iMac MacBook Pro running 10.6.2

HELP!

This stopped working sometime in late 2009. I posted in Google’s forum about it and a Google employee responded and acknowledged it is broken, and said that there was no ETA for fixing it. I hope Google resurrects this – being able to just email stuff to Google docs would be quite handy.

I’ve forwarded your experience onto our support and development team to look into further, but will need some additional information to ensure we have the whole picture: what OS version of Win7 are you using (x64, Home Starter, Home Premium, Ultimate, etc.)? We are only supporting XP and Win7 Home Starter now, but are looking to expand that in the near future.

The client is tested on IE and Firefox, but several internal team members also use Chrome and were able to successfully download with issue. I would encourage you to log download and install issues on our community (http://www.intel.com/support/go/appup/support.htm) and you’ll get a response. We did launch AppUp as a beta to get feedback and to make this the best possible experience for consumers.

Wanted to back my contacts and calendar onto my laptop from my phone but instead it deleted everything on the phone without asking. I’m hoping it’ll all come back from my desktop. It should allow much more configuration and ask before it removes anything from phone.

Microsoft buy the rights to what? Who’s intellectual property is a calculator anyway. Seems to me like they just need to kick their coders in the ass cos it can’t be too difficult to get one looking good and scaleable. Incidentally, I was frustrated to discover that I can’t remember much at all about using a scientific calculator. Tragic indeed, obviously a glib physics student!

The problem is that with Emansio it is hit and miss. I have tried FlexMail, Profimail, Live, Emansio and a few others. Tested them all. Emansio is so hit and miss that it is only with luck that you would have a good day. Don’t even bother to think about the month. Now these were tested on an Eten M700 running Windows 6.5. Maybe on the HTC Touch Pro it might work better, but it shouldn’t have to be that way. FlexMail and Profimail worked perfect.

Did you ever follow up on your comments on granularity? Two years on and with the continued march of touch interfaces and the possibly imminent arrival of an “iPad”, it would be interesting to think through the pros/cons of the finger (always “handy” , not very accurate) and the stylus (familiar for writing, never where you left it, etc…). I’d be interested in others thoughts…
