I just tried to "activate" the digital copies of Dark Knight and Wanted from the Blu-ray disks I purchased and even though the process progresses exactly as you describe above, when I click on the movies in my library I get an error telling me I'm not authorized to view them. You say in your post that you can watch Dark Knight on your iPhone. Can you also successfully watch it on your Mac? Glad this worked for you.
