What is the Best Windows Mobile Twitter Client?
on June 4th, 2008 at 10:18 pmI’m trying to figure out what is the best Windows Mobile Twitter client for me. I wonder if touch (Professional) vs non-touch (Standard) WiMo phones have different best clients? The Twitter Fan Wiki has a bunch listed under…
Any opinions out there? What is the best Twitter client for a WiMo smartphone (non-touch) or Pocket PC (touch) in your opinion?
I tried TinyTwitter on my XV6800 but I’m not sure I liked the way it handled links in the tweets. It sometimes made the tweet “unreadable”. Also I couldn’t figure out how to add a new person to follow. I’m still looking for the best app. I found that Twitter Fan Wiki as well and it looks like there are lots of choices. I’ll have to try some more out and let you know.
I’m currently writing a series on Windows Mobile Twitter clients for Brighthub.com (http://www.brighthub.com/mobile/windows-mobile-platform/reviews/16218.aspx)
Personally I use Tiny Twitter on my HTC Touch Diamond, although Twobile and ceTwit are just as good.
I’m about to give PockeTwit a try, based on this post.

I tried PockeTwit a few weeks ago myself and liked it enough to name it the MobileAppsToday App of the Week: PockeTwit 0.59 for Windows Mobile
PocketTwit is OK for writing tweets. For reading Tweets, it behaves poorly.
It shows a “Follow” menu for Tweeter I am already following, and a Stop Following menu for ones I am not following at all!
Adding a tweeter to a Group works very inconsistently. Sometimes it adds; sometimes it does not add.
Surely there must be something beter out there.
I found that PockeTwit locked up my Samsung Saga every time I opened it. It was corrupting memory. I became tired of rebooting and booted it from my phone. End of problem. Now I’m looking for something else.
moTweets by far. I have it on my Palm Treo Pro and I love it. http://www.panoramicsoft.com
I found a nice WM6 application at http://mtweet.friikki.info/
It’s called mTweet…
agree. panoramic software’s moTweets is one of the best i’ve come across.
user interface is extremely slick and fast.
only downside is that it seems to devour my poor omnia’s battery
