If I tried to type any other letter it worked well enough. You can't touch type with such a device but it's not for major data entry anyway. It's a music player with a few additional features and in a generation or two it should be far more fun. That's what I'm waiting for. It's a great device and i've enjoyed using it for several weeks. it's great for viewing video footage and it's so slim and practical. I'm looking forward to see what it brings in the near future. I think you will come to like it after using it for a while. After a little use I rarely make any errors at all now. I think a real keyboard would ruin the idea of the Touch. With the web 2.0 apps and launchers out there I have an iPod as powerful as any PDA I used to lug around with me. It is also pretty cool watch the old Star Trek: The Animated Series episodes via YouTube on the iPod. Here is a hint for some users. My media computer is my old eMac with USB 1.1. I tried to update to the new iPod Touch 1.1.1 firmware and it failed and left my iPod without any firmware at all. The fix was easy, just hooking it to my USB 2.0 Macbook and updating fix all the problems. I had the same problem when I got mine. I think you will come to like it after using it for a while.
