Ok, i have been researching through TONS of forums and using trial and error from all of the information. i am in need of help. i have a Sprint HTC Mogul (6800), i have the Remote Desktop software installed... to my device, not the storage card. i have a Netgear router, with the Port 3389 forwarded (i think i did it correctly). i input my PC's IP address (according to whatismyip.com), i am using my correct Login info for Windows XP user account. no Domain. i start my 36 connection First before attempting to connect to Remote Desktop. Gives me error messages every time. "ip address may not exist" ... "possible network connection problems". i am at a total loss. about to completely give up. this is my last ditch effort. someone... please.... help. and i work a lot, so if someone, ANYONE could respond to my cry for aid thru e-mail, i would be forever grateful!

WARNING:
ya know I'd love to use RDC on my Sprint Touch Pro. I came across these posts a while ago. There was a site that answered my prayers immediately. It said that the dude was in the same boat and hey, here's the answer... here's the file... just install it. So I did!
Everything seemes fine. I connected, played around on the desktop and thought it was awesome.

UNFORTUNATELY after I was done, I noticed shortly after that my desktop was prompted for a remote desktop connection, while I wasn't using it. My firewall popped up asking to allow the connection.

It seemed that my attempt to connect to my desktop had also called home to whoever provided the file, and literally handed them the username, IP, and password on how to gain full access to my desktop...

That Andrew Block's site seems to be very familiar in how I acquired it. And the Andy (same person) seems to be very willing to hand out his file instead of providing a place to purchase or obtain it from a reputable source.

All I'm saying is be careful with these things. Free proggies that open up access can do just that in the worst way...

You can do the same with Linux. That's what makes it so hard to pick a mobile device.

Blake: Not all carriers include the terminal client with their Windows Mobile smartphones. So, having 6.1 does not insure getting it

if you do not have 6.1 you will not have this feature(remote desktop). You need to update your rom to 6.1 through your provider.
